Another day setting up “Lobster”

Four years ago, I started reading the book “Self-Study is a Craft”: for me, this was the first introductory book on programming languages in my life. This book is well written, and I worked hard at it. In the past four years, I have read the book completely and thoroughly more than four times, and practiced it six times and more. The study of those contents lasted almost throughout my entire college life. Although I didn’t know what the use was before I started learning, I was absolutely 200% certain that the significance of this learning process would be huge and the impact would be far-reaching, both for me in the future and for my entire family in the future…
Unfortunately, after I had just finished my first study, I caught up with the year of AI: 2023. In that year, I not only tried to use large-language models like Chatgpt, but also used graphic-generated AIs like Midjoury and other types of video-type variations AI. Now, in retrospect, it’s quite clear that if I didn’t learn to program myself in the first place, I think I’d be much less aware of AI.
Of course, after learning once, I was still a little confused, so I had my second and third follow-up. But I was just beginning to learn how to learn, not to mention the python language that can be shown in books by just one or two readings. The importance of “use” was later slowly realized through many and many learning lessons.
It highlights several stages of learning: learning, practice, use, and construction. I was still at the “learning” stage in the first three studies, and the awareness of “doing” was almost minimal, not to mention two more near-essential parts.
I’ve been reading this for the fourth time, and I’m beginning to feel it. Yeah, it’s more important not to practice fake tricks. It would be perfect if it could be built. So, in a recent reading, I did consciously do it in that direction, and, although ultimately not ideal, this consciousness was immersed in an ambush to follow my conscious initiative of “making”.
Four years have passed quickly, until spring holidays this year. I don’t have a lot of social activities in the past, and I’m spending more time with AI. I didn’t think I had so much to talk to a strange robot that I fell in love with each other when I opened a subject with each other. Every day, nine-to-tenth-day chats allow me to see to the greatest extent all sorts of ideas in my mind. So, for the first time, I experienced so deeply the real benefits of “knowledge pay”, “productivity increase”. I can’t share that feeling with others, but I’m even less prepared to convince others to follow my path.
With time and technology, I can only do it faster and try more, so that I can reap the dividends of the past four years of hard work and of the confluence of time.
