To be honest, even I was a little surprised. Unexpectedly, I actually pushed this matter to the “online” step, and it was almost a full month ahead of schedule** than originally expected. Of course, a little boasting is allowed (laughs). But readers who are familiar with me may not be surprised - this is indeed an old tradition of mine: once you decide to start, you will speed up unconsciously.

Having said that, the process of setting up this personal blog is not easy. Back and forth, it took me nearly 5 hours to actually get it running. It is worth mentioning that I did not ask anyone for help during the whole process (AI should not be considered a “person”). If the “loss” in addition to the time cost is also included, three additional cups of coffee were consumed in this afternoon: an iced Americano, an iced latte, and a cup of hot latte. Although the configuration was similar last weekend, because a real “special operation” was carried out today, these cups of coffee seemed more valuable.

Some old readers may still remember that I actually built a personal website many years ago. It’s just that the experience of that site after it went online was quite bad: it loaded slowly and its stability was worrying, let alone being used to store and output articles for a long time. It was precisely based on this unsatisfactory experience that I gradually came up with a clearer idea - I needed a faster, more stable, and more controllable website to host long-term writing and to manage my personal brand more seriously.

Thus, mantou-blog.pages.dev was born.
